One of the most common questions I receive after more than 10 years of pressing and preserving flowers is:
"Why did my white flowers turn beige?"
The simple answer is that flowers are natural, living materials. Just like leaves change color in the fall and fruit ripens over time, flowers continue their natural life cycle even after they have been preserved.
The truth is that all flowers change color. There is no preservation method that completely stops this process. What preservation does is slow down nature and allow us to enjoy these beautiful blooms for years to come.

Many people imagine flower pressing as placing flowers inside a book and waiting.
Professional flower preservation is much more involved.
Flower pressing is often described as a "set it and forget it" process, but in reality it is a babysitting job.
Each flower must be monitored throughout the drying process to ensure moisture is leaving the bloom correctly. If moisture becomes trapped, problems can develop quickly.

Foam Presses
