Fossil Flowers began long before it had a name.
Art has always been a part of my life. Creating has never been something I started—it’s something I’ve always done. It’s how I process, how I honor, how I remember.
In 2016, after my aunt passed away, I found myself searching for a way to hold onto something that felt like it was slipping through my fingers. In a small room in my home, I began creating paintings and sealing them in resin—layer by layer, preserving emotion in a tangible form. Resin became more than a medium; it became a way to protect memory.
At the same time, I was working as a florist. Day after day, I watched beautiful blooms—perfectly imperfect, full of life—be discarded at closing time. It broke my heart. I couldn’t stand to see that kind of beauty wasted. So I started bringing the flowers home with me. First, I pressed them. Then, one day, I poured resin over them—preserving not just their shape, but their story.
What began as quiet experiments at my kitchen table slowly evolved into Fossil Flowers as you see it today—where flowers are not simply saved, but honored. Each piece is a second life. A pause in time. A reminder that even imperfection carries meaning.
Along the journey, Kelsey and Meghan joined me to complete the dream team, each bringing their own creativity, precision, and care into every piece we create. Their hands help shape the beauty that leaves our studio.
And then there’s our hidden treasure—refusing to be named, but impossible not to notice—my son, Tristan. His quiet presence and steady support are woven into the very heart of Fossil Flowers. In so many ways, this business grew alongside him.
From grief to gratitude, from discarded stems to preserved heirlooms—Fossil Flowers was never just about flowers. It has always been about holding onto what matters.
