Frequently Asked Questions

1. How long after my wedding do I need to drop off my flowers?

It's ideal to drop them off as soon as possible—within 1 to 3 days is best to preserve their color and shape. However, we understand life gets busy, and we will still accept flowers long after the wedding. Just keep in mind that the condition of the flowers will affect the final outcome, and some designs may be limited with older or dried blooms.

2. Can I order multiple items at once?

Yes! You can order multiple items at once. Many customers choose to create a collection of pieces from their special flowers, such as a frame, jewelry, and a keepsake item together.

3. Do you work with memorial and funeral flowers?

Absolutely. We understand the importance of preserving memorial flowers and treat them with the utmost care and respect. Memorial flower preservation is a beautiful way to honor and remember loved ones.

4. What kind of items can you create?

We offer a range of custom art including resin blocks, pressed frames, shadowboxes, trays, tables, clocks, jewelry, and more. Let's work together to choose something that fits your style.

5. Which flowers preserve best?

For pressed flower art, flowers that preserve beautifully include roses, carnations, hydrangeas, gerberas, lilies, anemones, and Queen Anne's lace. Flowers that do not press well include dahlias, mums, and other thicker flowers with dense centers. These thicker blooms work better for resin or shadowbox preservation.

6. Can I see examples of your work before ordering?

Yes! Check out our gallery and product photos to see examples of our work. Each piece is unique, but our gallery showcases the quality and style you can expect.

7. Can you include other keepsakes like ribbons, photos, or charms?

Absolutely. We can incorporate small personal items into your piece to make it even more meaningful.

8. How long does the process take?

Preservation typically takes 6-12 months depending on the type of art and pieces chosen. Resin and frame art takes time to properly dry, cure, and design—but we promise it's worth the wait!

9. What happens to leftover flowers?

We ONLY preserve the flowers used in your artwork. Any remaining flowers not selected for your piece can be returned to you, used in small keepsake add-ons, or respectfully discarded—your choice.

10. What if my flowers are already dried?

No problem! Fossil Flowers can still work with dried flowers, although the final design may differ slightly. Just send us a picture so we can assess their condition and recommend the best art style.

11. How should I store my flowers before shipping them to you?

Keep your flowers in a cool spot with fresh water—this is super important! Proper hydration helps maintain their color and shape until they reach us for preservation.

12. Do you offer payment plans?

Yes, Fossil Flowers offers flexible payment options! You can choose a 25% deposit, installment payments, or pay in full. Refer to our Terms and Policies for complete details.

13. What is your cancellation and refund policy?

You may cancel within 24 hours of booking. After that, cancellations are not accepted as we have reserved space specifically for your order. No refunds are provided on orders once the service has been rendered, as art is subjective and each piece is custom-made to order. Please refer to our Terms and Policies page for complete details.

14. What if my flowers get damaged during shipping?

Fossil Flowers will do our best to guide you in packing them safely. If something arrives damaged, we assess what can be salvaged and offer creative solutions to still create a beautiful piece.

15. Do you ship internationally?

No, we currently only accept orders and ship within the United States.
